This close season has seen many comings and goings at Wordsley East with the departures of Ben Checketts who has headed to Gornal after 5 years with us, Kieran Green who has decided to concentrate on other sports and Sam Dennies who has headed West.

But we welcome some new signings to the fold with Sam Oakley coming to us from Gornal Athletic, Liam Hickman who has come East from West and Tom Aveline who has come to us in his first season playing league football and has impressed enough to earn a place in the squad. All these players have added some new qualities to the team and I am sure they will enjoy their time with us as both have great potential. There will definitely be more signings before the start of the season……watch this space.
