CLUB DETAILS
Ossett Albion Ladies play in the First division of the Yorkshire and Humberside League and were formed in 2001.

The were set up by the Wakefield Reserves team who had ambitions beyond a second team and in their first season they finished 4th in the league and won the Yorkshire Plate Competition.

In the second season the team lost only two matches in the league all season finishing runners up to Leeds Development who controversially got promoted into the Premier division as a third Leeds United team. Ossett scored 138 goals in 26 games and had five players represent their county. The team also made it to the final of the Flo Bilton League Tournament losing on penalties to Hull City.

In 2003/04 we won the Yorkshire Plate again and also finished second in the league. We also got to the final of the League tournament again then won the White Rose tournament. We had three players who played for the county and Tanya Rich captained West Riding to win the County Cup.

We are currently looking to add to the squad and need players for the new season, we train regularly and have qualified FA coaches running the sessions, we have players of all abilities in the team so can accommodate players at any level. We will be holding several friendlies over the next few months for new players to come along and try out for the team, why not give it a try. Or you can contact us via email or telephone on the contacts section on this site.
